The Folkestone NHS walk in centre cannot treat all injuries and illnesses.
It may be necessary to visit Accident and Emergency, or alternatively your local GP for less serious Symptoms

It has been specifically designed to compliment existing health services and offers:

• Treatment for minor illnesses and injuries
• Assessment by an experienced NHS nurse
• Advice on how to stay healthy
• Information on out of hours GP services
• Information on dental services
• Information on local pharmacy services
• Emergency contraception
• Information on other health services

We Cannot treat the following conditions:

• Chest Pain
• Severe abdominal pain
• Children under 6 months old with minor illnesses
• Hip and spinal injuries
• Fractures with obvious displacement
• Chronic diseases
• Those seeking a second opinion
• Repeat prescriptions
• Social problems
• Mental health, drug or alcohol problems

The Folkestone NHS walk in centre can treat the following minor injuries and illnesses including:

• Nose bleeds
• Minor cuts and bites
• Burns and scalds
• Infections (including abscesses)
• Foreign bodies in wounds, ears and noses
• Muscular strains and sprains to shoulders, arms and legs
• Fractures to shoulders, arms and legs
• Dislocations of fingers, thumbs and toes
• Minor chest, neck and back injuries
• Minor eye conditions including conjunctivitis and foreign bodies
• Minor head injuries with no loss of consciousness
• Minor allergic reactions
• Minor ailments such as coughs, colds, flu symptoms, sore throat, earache, urinary tract infections and sinusitis
• Emergency contraception
