The Shepway Family Information Project's is unique in what it does and provides. A registered charity (CC No. 1123516) and registered company (Comp. 05977777), growing out of the success of the B-4-8s, a Folkestone based charity established 13 years ago, to help children and their families by providing support, advice and information

Providing essential support, information and advice: the B-4-8s offer a free drop-in centre for parents, we provide support groups on an array of family focused subjects where problems and concerns can be aired and shared while children play in the well-equipped play area. The B-4-8s is also a registered UK online centre providing Internet access - plus much more! The B48s’ centre can also be freely used to feed and change your baby & toddler, to meet other parents, to use the play area/facilities – it is your family centre!

We can be of great help and benefit to local businesses. The B48s can be of great assistance and help with employees with problems in their personal or professional lives. We can assist employees by helping them address problems that may be impacting their work lives. We help employers retain valuable employees by offering workers the support they need to resolve issues at home and in the workplace. We can offer help with: Stress, Work issues, Family and marriage problems, Parenting issues, Financial problems, Child care and disabilities to name but a few.

The Shepway Family Information Project’s vision is to be THE LOCAL “Information Hub” that is THE central point for comprehensive information on LOCAL services and support that can be accessed easily by all parents and carers. Co-ordinated and accessible information on local services such as: childcare, education, health care, further education & training advice and leisure services and children’s activities, allowing parents to choose both how and when they access the support that they require. This will enable parents to exercise choice and to become informed consumers of services to support them and their children.
